cool

cool cool. i really liked the gunfire effect. the constant theme of red and black is, for some reason, not cliché... this actually looks interesting. (most trailers are just movies that got cut short by lazy creators, but this one looks like it will have a good film as a follow-up.)

** i have one question: i keep hearing that song you used (with the tempo slowed down in your movie, however); what is it called? (it's also used in the flash portal "savior" clip,, too.)

well, this looks cool. i'm going to watch your other stuff, now.

oh, if you have time, check out my latin-hip-hop beat i made on the audio portal (called "latin dog"). yeah.

~ peace ~

well done

the previous reviewer, blitzbane, obviously needs to go to school before he starts using the lines "worth a chuckle" and "decrying." you did a great job parodying clock movies, while actually saying something of substance. lots of those authors in the clock crew have talent. they should just be theirselves. strawberry clock and his tight-knit crew are great; but dumb, mindless sheep like "frozen toaster clock" and "banana ice skate clock" just spam newgrounds. strawberry clock doesn't even get why he has such crazy fans. (read his interview on newgrounds magazine.)

it was great how you kept your cool during the movie, too. don't be so apologetic in your summary, next time! just be yourself! it ticks me off, and it ticks you off, too! be smart and collected, but don't bend over for angry clock slaves.

let us reject the clock slaves and honor the original smaller, clock clew.

way to go, again, my man.

Now make a cool movie!

my man

I recently reviewed another one of your Clock flashes... It was good. But I decided to watch another and soon found this movie to blow the former out of the water.

You do a great job with the Speakonia voices (pauses, funny pitches), and you do very well manipulating the English language. I love the line, "This is 100% for sure from Santa," or something. The background '40s Christmas music was a nice touch, too, as it sounded like it came from a tinny old radio in the corner of the room. Leek Clock also made me laugh. The only thing that needed work was the explosion (although its crudeness was quite comique).

I don't usually enjoy Clock movies this much, unless they are just bizarrely random. This had wit and finesse, however, and you've managed to sidle up next to the ingenious Turd_Clock in the race for :: Best Clock Animator :: !!! (Well, at least in my books, you have.)

I can't wait to see more from you. Try exploring a little bit away from the Clock medium, perhaps, because your sense of humor could be applied well to a creation of your own. Still, even if you remain a creator of predominantly Clock-ish movies, I'll still love your stuff.

Peace, my bro.

P.S. I just bought a Wacom drawing pad, so you'll be able to see some of my stuff soon...! That is, if you don't forget about me in two minutes.

ForkClock responds:

Wow, now THAT was a review. Yes, this one of my later creations. I put about a months worth of work into this. I was still kinda new to flash, but this was the changing point for me. I think it was the score that got me. it went through judgement at like 3.5 or something.

While I DO love doing Clock animations, I have little side projects that I work on from time to time (which are not clock related). See, the thing is, I cant really draw very well. So it takes me a long time to draw stuff, which isnt going to look that spectacular anyways. I try, but I dont really know if my art is improving at all. I guess you will see when it comes out ;-)

I will be looking forward to seeing stuff by you soon. From what I have heard, those Wacom pads are sweet.

well

you have so much obvious talent, but you kind of wasted it on this clock movie... i like the original clock crew, but i'm not a huge fan of when people make new and absurd clocks.. you have great drawing skills, so why not use them to make something that comes from your own creativity? i'm working on an animation now, so it's nice to see a fellow rising animator gradually improving.

good work; i hope to see more (and better) from you in the near future.

peace.

ForkClock responds:

LoL, I just did this character for fun. I never did anything further with it. I acutally use ForkClock for the rest of my cartoons. Maybe youve seen some of them? This one is kinda old. :-) thanks for the kind review though!

wow

i was looking for a movie like that. you really excite me, because you're new and you have lots of talent with flash. i can't wait to see what you produce next. adding u to my favs now...

p.s. the best part of your flash is the way you create expressive facial features.. i mean, for such simple characters, they really showed elaborate emotion. great job, mate.

SirHappy666 responds:

Wow thanks alot. shame this isnt doing so well with the votes.. but thanks for the good response.

nice atmosphere

well, i didn't like the joke or lesson very much. but the atmosphere you created was wondrous. i like how they were in this constant mist, and the reason of this only made sense when you zoomed out to view the mountains. nice soothing music, too. i think this should pass. you should just make it longer, so it doesn't look like you just ended it prematurely. maybe a long line of fart jokes in a whole episode would be good, too. i'm a new flash author, too, so i know what it's like trying to get ideas to fit our limited animation skills. you, however, did a very good job with your drawing and the dialogue.

keep it up, mate.

codester responds:

thank you. i am a flash programmer trying to make animations. i will take note of your tips and thanks for keeping my spirits up :)

Ha ha ha Ha

this band is funny, because they can't speak english very well. i am a huge fan of agnryman... one question though: why did you speed through hitler's face with martin luther king's face? do you think they're the same? they preached very different things, and their goals are only slightly parallel.

i love agnry man, but please get back to me.

oh, wait! you won't!

good job, i think.

10 for humor and "pierced scrotoms outside rave parties"

Indeed not.

I'm not a huge fan of your work, Ms. Towell, although it seems you have some talent. Your pieces always come across as prosaic and uninformed, although they seem to have the self-confidence of American Idolists. You don't really have too much to say, and you often accompagny your movies with commonplace music that Linkin Park listeners can recite. Note: Cupid, the arrow-wielding boy in Greek and Roman mythology, didn't only spread love to whom he penetrated with his arrowheads. He also spread hate. So, that's why your bratty little girl is so hatefully self-absorbed. She should be thanking him. Next time you make an average flash cartoon, make your cupid look less like a candy-coated cherub who only wants to inspire youthful love. He was actually kind of badass, as he was the drug dealer of the classics era.

I have to go to a class now.

no one gets it

this is the funniest thing i've seen in a long time. wow. i can't describe it. i could, but i can't. not now. i love ur movies.

wow

Yes. Your talent is being honed.

this was so much better than ultimate showdown. great job; pat yourself on the back. i actually like the song from showdown more than this, but this submission's graphics blow the former's out of the water. you have obviously been working on your drawings and animation; it shows. i am marking this video as one of my favorites. this should be in the top ten, not ultimate showdown. the geek's braces were great, too. nice job with the foosball gag.

i will now commence to stop talking in now. nein.

let's commit ritual suicide! ;XDD

TmsT responds:

Why are you comparing my style to that of the Ultimate Showdown? Neither of us had anything to do with the visuals in that. Just enjoy the movie for what it is, not what it can be comapred to. Geeks don't rate themselves against other people. They just ARE. :) You should try it some time!

I'll be back.
